Activities
Our area offers a very diversified landscape and flora as we are located at the cross roads of southern Ardèche, the Cévennes and Provence.
One can follow the silk road, discover grotto and caves to discover and take fabulous walks in the National Park of the Cévennes.
We can share with you information on unusual places which we have come across and help you plan sightseeing tours.
Small roads invite you to cycle and the nearby rivers (Cèze 10 mns drive, Ardèche 15 mns and Chassezac 15 mns ) offer opportunities for canoeing (you can hire boats on site).
For riders, horses can be found in our neighborhood.
This region is one of the oldest settlements of Europe ; you will find many traces of the Celts, dolmens, menhirs, tumulus and rock carvings.
If you are interested in Romanesque Art you will discover many well preserved churches in the hillside villages of the Cévennes or more important monuments to the south.
Many nearby towns organize festivals (film, dance, theatre and music ). Uzès, Barjac, Les Vans, Nîmes, Montpellier and Avignon deserve a visit and are ½ hour, 1 ½ hour drive from here.
Shopping facilities
The village of Gagnières is 2 kilometers away.
There is a small market here on wednesdays mornings. For every day needs there is also a baker and a small "épicerie"(grocer).
For more consequent shopping you will find bigger markets everyday in local villages as well as supermarkets and health food stores in Bessèges (5 minutes drive), les Vans and Saint Ambroix (15 minutes drive).
