Our land and garden
You are looking for a quiet place in the south of France to spend a holiday with friends or rest with your family ?
Where can this place be found ?
We offer you an authentic and natural environment to relax and discover a small undisturbed valley which lies away from mass tourism.
We recommend you to travel with your own car as French public transport is particularly poor in the country-side areas.
The river Ganière which flows in front of the house is ideal for swimming, diving and playing.
Our land covers one hectare and has a large open area, a naturally designed garden with areas to sit, a pond, pines for shade in summertime and a wild area with Mediterranean flora.
On the river banks you will find sand, stones and big boulders.
We take care to keep this area as natural as possible and animals have settled here in the walls, trees and amongst the stones ( birds, frogs, salamanders, barn owls and beavers ).
On the landing there are two buildings. The old gold mine (built in 1880) is now a ruin ; it looks like a cathedral waiting to be restored.
We have renovated what used to be the commercial buildings, offices and community quarters into a spacious and pleasant house equipped with the necessary facilities for a comfortable holiday.
For most of our previous guests, the pleasure of resting and enjoying the house and its surroundings has been the highlight of their time here.
The river is accessible from our landing and it is possible to swim, dive, fish or sunbath and with luck you could even find gold "paillettes" with a basin !
